Let’s talk about time off…

L here - This is the first time I’ve needed to ask for time off for a pet's death. There was a part of me that felt guilty for asking for this, but it’s crazy how our pets truly become a part of our family.

Unfortunately, yesterday was our last day with our puggle, Casey. She came into my life when I met Jonathan Gusanders.

At the end of the day, I need to show up to work as my best self. And today I wasn’t able to do that. I’m not promising I’m going to show up tomorrow at 100%, but I’m sure as heck gonna wipe away the tears and do my best to do my job. Keeping it real… we are all human, and we should humanize the workforce and share our personal struggles.

I will always prioritize working for a place that values employees' personal life and mental health, so I can continue to show up as my best self despite the hard times.

🐶 I’ll miss my favorite co-worker. Although she panted pretty loudly in conference calls, she will be missed.
